You’ve Got Lael Episode 15: Clearing Space

You've Got Lael

One way to visualize the effects of burnout is to use the image of a battery. If you can identify the things that deplete your battery charge, you can also consider the things that recharge it. When you're draining your battery and not recharging it, well...you're gonna end up with a dead battery.

That's what happened to me. And what's happening to so many people right now.

The first thing I did when I realized I wasn't just tired, I was burned out, was to clear some space. I determined my top three priorities: my family, my current clients, and my recovery. Everything else had to wait for a while.

In this episode, you will learn…

What happened when my coach told me to stop.
How my body was telling me what I needed, but I was too stubborn to listen.
How creating space was the first step in my recovery.
